          Over a period of time, folks get attached to certain household items.  Those items take on great sentimental value.  They're lovingly discussed, become  family heirlooms and eventually pass on to future generations.  Brace yourself: an air conditioner is not one of those items your children and grandchildren will want.  Let it go!
