You May Not Need a New AC Unit!

Evaporator coils are inside the house. They are usually hidden away inside an air handler cabinet or plenum, which may be further concealed inside a closet, attic, or crawl space.  Evaporator coils are not all that hard to clean, just hard to find in most cases.

  • Dirty evaporator coils can dramatically reduce your unit's ability to cool your home.

  • Dirty evaporator coils can increase your monthly energy bills.

  • Dirty evaporator coils can reduce indoor air quality.

  • Dirty evaporator coils can cause your unit to run harder and fail sooner.

  • Most household vacuum cleaners are sufficient to clean dirty evaporator coils. Just be careful not to bend or damage the cooling fins.

If you're not into the do-it-yourself thing, or, if you're having a problem locating your evaporator coils - call me.  I can do it for you for less and I promise not to "pitch" you on replacing your perfectly good AC unit.
